Fortress Law Group, LLC Raises $400 for Lake County Students’ School Supplies

WILLOUGHBY, Ohio—Criminal Defense Attorney Matthew C. Bangerter, Founder of Fortress Law Group, LLC, formerly known as The Bangerter Law Office, announces that his firm raised $400 out of a total of $7,667 raised for The Backpack Fund. The nonprofit organization’s mission is to ensure that Lake County students have access to school supplies and scholarships to support their education.

Fortress Law Group, LLC sponsored a Happy Hour Kick-Off for The Backpack Fund’s July donation drive to increase awareness and raise money to purchase school supplies and backpacks for students ahead of the 2022-2023 school year. Consequently, the organization donated 500 backpacks filled with supplies to needy students. Mia Severino, Sales and Marketing Coordinator at Fortress Law Group, LLC helped distribute the backpacks on Distribution Day, August 13, 2022.

In addition to school supplies, The Backpack Fund awards an annual scholarship worth $1,000 to a deserving student. Lake County student Paige Veselko received the 2022 Emily Ringler Memorial Scholarship.

“We’re thrilled that this year’s fundraiser was such a success,” says Severino. “I loved participating in Distribution Day and seeing the joy on students’ faces when we presented them with their backpacks. It’s an honor to give back to the community and be a part of such a worthy cause.”
